India: Bengal Tigers of Central India

This tour focuses on the Royal Bengal Tigers of Central India.

We visit the famous National Parks of Tadoba Andheri Tiger Reserve, Pench National Park, Kanha National Park and the Bandhavgarh national Park. Tadoba lies in the state of Maharashtra and Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh are in the state of Madhya Pradesh. These parks collectively offer a delightful experience to Wildlife enthusiasts, wildlife photographers, Botanists, Bird watchers and nature lovers.

Some of the key species that this tour focuses on are Tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bear, Gaur, Wild Dogs, Hyenas, Civet and Jungle Cats, various deer Like Nilgai, Cheetal, Sambar , Barking Deer, Wild Pig, Porcupine, Langur, Mongoose, Mouse Deer , Black buck and various reptile species. These parks have a healthy resident bird species and during winter months they attract hundreds of bird species as well.

Please note that the booking for this tour should be done at least four months in advance. Most of the national parks and wildlife reserve open day visit safari bookings several months in advance and it is important to block the desired zones for this tour.

The best time to visit these parks is between October and April.

If your focus is “Just Tigers”  then March – May are the best months to visit. But if you’d like to catch the rich bird life as well, then December – February are best.

Upon your arrival at Mumbai airport we will meet you and assist you with your transfer to your pre-booked hotel in the city. Mumbai is the financial capital of India and a big metropolis. Mumbai is well connected with the rest of the world.

In the morning after the breakfast transfer back to the airport to board a short flight to Nagpur. Upon arrival at Nagpur transfer by road for about four Hours to Tadoba Andheri Tiger Sanctuary. Upon arrival at Tadoba…..stay at the jungle resort in the buffer zone of this famous Tiger park.

We will brief you on the tour and safari timing details and general information will be given. Tadoba has 195 species of Birds and about 74 species of butterflies as well as the Crocodile in its various water bodies.

Morning and afternoon safaris inside the park sighting its beautiful wildlife and enjoying its floral diversity and rich bird life. This park also has several water bodies and a fabulous landscape.

During these safaris various zones of the park will be explored for its rich wildlife species.

After a leisurely breakfast leave for Pench National Park. Upon arrival at Pench transfer to the hotel. After Lunch visit the beautiful Park in open Gypsy vehicles with driver and guide.

Morning and afternoon safaris in the park with our guide and driver. Tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bears and Tiger Cats are some of the main species here. Wolf, Porcupine and Indian Pangolin are spotted at times. Indian python, marsh crocodile, Indian monitor lizard are some of the resident species in the park here

AM Safari at Pench National Park and then drive to Kanha National Park.

Upon arrival at Kanha National park check in to the pre-booked jungle resort.

Relax for the rest of the day.

Morning and afternoon safaris in the open jeeps with local guide and driver in the famous national park. Kanha is divided in several zones and you can explore its several zones over the next few safaris. One of the most beautiful landscape and rich flora and fauna.

Morning safari in the park and afternoon free as Kanha and Bandhavgarh as well as Pench National Park remain closed for safaris on Wednesday afternoons.

Kanha is one of the prime Tiger Parks with Sal forest and beautiful sunlight and shadow shots across the jungle…..the rich green color of the Sal forest adds an extra dimension to its beauty.
Tigers, Leopards, Jungle Cats, Various Deer species including the critically endangered Swamp Deer or Barasingha and about a thousand flowering plant species makes this park a delight for keen photographers.

Morning safari in Kanha Nationbal Park and later return to the resort for wash and change and breakfast. Check out and drive to Bandhavgarh National park. Upon arrival at Bandhavgarh transfer to the jungle resort in the buffer zone of the park.

Morning and afternoon safaris in the famous tiger reserve. The Tiger parks in India name its tigers with numbers like T-29 , T-31 and the local guides give them names like Kalua, Saddam, Langra, Mohini,B1, B2, Machhli, Bijli etc. and Bandhavgarh has had some of the famous Tigers who have been captured on films by well known wildlife film makers.

Bandhavgarh is one of the densly tiger populated park in the country and has a rich bird specie of about 350 and 80 butterflies and 37 mammal species to its fame.

Morning safari in the park and later return to the resort for breakfast and later check out and drive to the famous site of Khajuraho. Khajuraho has the beautiful erotic temples and upon arrival in Khajuraho transfer to a hotel.

In the morning after breakfast visit the famous temples with our local expert guide. Later return to the hotel check out and proceed to the airport for flight to Delhi.

Upon arrival in Delhi transfer to an airport hotel. Later return back to the hotel this evening or next day for your flight back home.
